This was my first ever RgT item ever. I usually only wear Iron Heart shirts… so I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the shirt is.

Everything about this shirt is awesome- especially the fabric. I love that the face of the fabric is not brushed. This means the shirt will look newer longer, and won’t be prone to pills (fuzzballs). The fabric is absolutely gorgeous and luxurious. It has a soft hand and a sheen to it- like a nice pair of heavyweight Japanese jeans. It is so beautiful the pictures don’t do it justice.

I find the fabric to be superior to an Iron Heart ultra heavy flannel because it is not brushed and is not too warm. I find the UHFs to be almost too warm. But this shirt is heavyweight without being too warm. I own 6 Iron Heart UHFs, by the way. So, me saying I like this slightly better is a huge deal!

The inside of the shirt is very comfy and soft. I love the fit of the shirt too. The body is roomy on me, which I like. But, the sleeves are slim fitting. Very slim in the bicep area. So you get some great stacks, and the shirt makes you look buff. I like the sleeve length too. It is perfect on me and I’m 5’11”. I have a big beer belly. But a 2xl has plenty of room in the opening when I sit down. It’s a spectacular fit.

Top notch construction too! I really was impressed by how well the shirt is constructed. The chambray accents on the sleeves and collar is a great touch. This is just as nice, if not nicer than a Japanese-made shirt costing a hundred or two more. The chainstitch run-off on the shirt is particularly awesome. The smoky blue buttons are perfect for the shirt, too.

I need to soak this shirt a little to see if I can shrink the shoulders a tad, because the fabric stands up behind the shoulders a bit on the yoke. I imagine this will settle in after a while once the triple a stitch embeds into the fabric. This is nitpicking because this is honestly the only thing I could find wrong with the shirt.

I wore the shirt all day today and received several compliments on my outfit. (Even from this girl that I have the hots for). I think this might be my new favorite shirt. I can’t wait to see how the indigo fades and how the shirt evolves.

I give the shirt an honest 9.5 out of 10. I’m deducting .5 because of the pointiness of the shoulders towards the yoke, like I mentioned. But, I think it will settle in fine after a soak.

I’d buy this shirt if I were you. It’s a great value at $255. They could easily charge at least $100 more for how nice it is.

Thanks for reading this review if you did. 🙂
